Partnerships
At ABC we pride ourselves of being a partner alongside many organisations who want to help transform the way we construct and use our buildings.
We have worked on over 100 projects since 2019, varying our offering to different projects.
We are constantly learning as we help others transform and decarbonise the built environment. This is helping us build evidence through our research, engagement and innovation in real-world projects and testing.
What we are good at is giving independent and impartial advice on how to embed ‘active building’ principles to integrate energy systems in buildings sustainably – improving comfort, reducing carbon and reducing costs.
Don’t just take our word for it. See what others say about us:

The Active Building Centre has given us valuable support and impartial advice over the past 4 years, giving us the confidence to design and deliver Building concept. It’s great to see the ABC set this approach out in the ABC Blueprint, helping to further disseminate this approach to achieving net zero.

We have worked closely with the Active Building Centre since their establishment under the Transforming Construction Challenge in 2018.
Dr Joanna Clarke, Architect and Design Manager at SPECIFIC
It is fantastic to see all their hard work summarised in this document, which I think will be incredibly useful to anyone looking to decarbonise the built environment. We urgently need solutions to the decarbonisation challenge and, through this collection of knowledge and experience based on real-world data, this document proves that creating net zero carbon buildings is possible now.

The Active Building Centre is integral to the decarbonisation of the built environment sector in the UK. They are a fantastic resource of knowledge and experience. They have recently helped Greencore with an embodied carbon study and are also assisting with a project where we are looking at solutions for the export capacity at our development of 25 houses, Springfield Meadows in Oxfordshire.
James Pritchett – Communications Manager, Springfield Meadows
Built upon our expertise and experience, we can offer impartial advice, create reports or provide hours of access to our skills base to add value to new-build and retrofit schemes.
