Active Building Centre wins Green Fleet of the year in BusinessCar Awards

Informing and Influencing

The Active Building Centre was announced as winner of the Green Fleet of the Year in the BusinessCar awards 2019 at a ceremony in London.

BusinessCar is the leading trade magazine for the UK business fleet industry which represents the vast majority of the vehicle sales and on the roads.

It’s members are financially aware and are yet to fully recognise the opportunity for their industry in the decarbonisation challenge. Readers know diesel and petrol vehicles. They don’t know electric vehicles.

Having the Active Building Centre’s electric vehicle fleet win a headline award is great for us. Fleet managers are an important group for us to reach. We need them to know what we are aiming to do in the construction world. And how that feeds into fleet management.

We are exemplars in the transition from fossil fuelled to zero emission transport.

Designed to recognise the fleets, suppliers and manufacturers that demonstrate outstanding customer service and innovative products, the awards are judged by respected industry experts including well-known road testers, fleet managers and representatives from industry bodies.

This is brilliant for the Active Building Centre. I was delighted to be a finalist. I never thought we would win.

BusinessCar has the UK’s largest independently audited fleet circulation, with a readership that targets close to 19,000 fleet decision-makers.

The winners were announced for the 2019 BusinessCar Awards, at a sold out ceremony on Wednesday 30th October at Hilton London Tower Bridge.

The event gave attendees the opportunity to network, reward and celebrate success among their peers across carefully selected Awards categories.
